LIFE IS A JOURNEY, ARE YOU READY?

TRAVELING BUDGET BEAUTY TIPS

We have been traveling and we want to share our budget travel regime with you. We are light travelers. And no, we do not travel light for the sake of shopping. We don't even like shopping. Ask any of our friends about our behaviour towards shopping and their eyes would go big and they would not even hesitate to tell you how much of a weirdo we are. So... traveling...

YOUR BEST FRIEND IS WATER

It is dehydrating on the plane. When you are traveling, you also tend to venture out a lot, so always have a bottle of water or 2 in your bag.

TEA SACHETS : TO DRINK AND THEN FOR YOUR EYES

Sometimes hotel rooms provide complimentary teas and coffees, but when you are staying in a budget boutique, they sometimes do not have them. It doesn't hurt to pack some tea sachets. They are light and you can always bring them back if you do not use them. Pop one into your mineral water bottle, or seep one in a tea cup and drink it. Do try to save the tea bag though. You can leave it in a cup and refrigerate it. They are good for a quick perk-me-up in the mornings. Really cool and refreshing.

COFFEE GROUND SCRUB

We brought some expired coffee grounds in a sachet with us. They are probably a bit weak to drink but still work as a good facial or body scrub when mixed with your cleanser or shower gel. If you find them complimentary in your room, why not try it as a scrub? Caffeine is used in a lot of body products and they help to plump up skin too. Definitely beats using them at home when you have room cleaning service everyday.

A QUICK SUGAR HAND SCRUB

We can be very particular about our hands, where we have been, what we have touched sometimes eeks us. Save a sachet of sugar when you are having your tea or coffee and use it together with the hand soap. Gently scrub your hands and rinse. Your hands will be instantly soft.

MAKE USE OF THE BAR FRIDGE FOR A COOLING MOISTURISER

The fridge in your room can be your best friend. It can cool your drinks and preserve your snacks. But do use it wisely to cool your favourite moisturiser or gel. So refreshing and pampering on a trip, before you sleep and after you wake up.

We will back with more traveling budget beauty tips. Stay tune.
