HOW TO SAVE ON HEATING : THE HEATER FAN, AND BAKE WHEN IT DOUBT

These tips are probably a bit late since winter is almost over but we thought we post them anyway. We were talking to a friend about how well a heater fan works and we are surprise that a lot of people do not know it or are not familiar with it.

It is instant. It blows out hot air and warms you up real quick. It is especially useful if you have a small apartment. You don't need to turn it on for too long. Instead of waiting for that gas radiator to heat up, a heater fan blows your chills away quite quickly. We do think it saves a lot of gas for us. If you are thinking that it would heat up your whole house, well, no. Think of it as instant, targeting at a spot. It is good for small apartments, the bathroom, warming the bedroom quickly if you close all the windows and doors, or just aiming it at yourself.

Some people do not like using the heater fan because it is noisy. Most heater fans come with 2 heat settings. If you run it for too long, it will turn off by itself because of the overheated coil. This safety device is very handy as it doesn't burn the plastic casing as well as keeping fire hazards at bay. So, if you are thinking of enjoying a tropical climate with your heater fan blowing continuously, don't! Just buy a ticket to the tropics instead of a heater fan.

The heater fan doubles up as a cooling fan for summer so you don't have to banish it to the storeroom.

The other thing we do is to use the oven. We always sit near to the kitchen when we cook with the oven. It is always such a nice, warm and homey feeling in the cold.

What is a better reward than a delicious roasted dinner or a mouth-watering cake whilst heating up your place?
