SOME OF THE TYPES OF FRIENDS YOU WOULD MEET IN YOUR LIFETIME

We have been meaning to write this for a while. Considering our 30 years of age, we reckon we have met enough people and be able to judge their characters. Despite seeing all sorts of characters, we are sometimes still naive enough to hope for goodness in everyone. Needless to say, there isn't the case most of the time. We are not on Facebook. That is right, you heard right. We are not. We have always believed that if someone is genuine enough to stay friends, they would make the effort to keep in touch. It is easy, an email would do, not an arm. Nevertheless, despite the number of acquaintance we have, we are proud to say we have some very good friends who stayed friends with us over the test of time, distance and obstacles.

THE GIVER
The generous person who has so much goodness that he or she would do anything for a friend. You would receive presents even if it isn't your birthday. They would make a cup of tea or bring you a treat when they know you are stress.

 THE COLLECTOR
This is the generic friendly person who would say 'hi' to everyone and be super nice and close, although just superficial. They are the type who have many friends on FB and loads of party invites and loads of people to say hello to in a club.

THE GHOST
You keep this person as your friend because somehow this person has some redeeming factors. We call this person the ghost because he or she is always on your email list, he/she doesn't always reply but would turn up in a gathering once in a while. An interesting '2-lifer'.

THE CLOWN
Mr/Miss Superficial. The funny person who is talkative but never really say anything. Similar to The Collector but this person has little or no people-skills.

THE SCROOGE
A likeable personality you would call friend but only to have their traits reveal to you over time. They are the leechers who would keep reminding you that you are more well-off than them. They take and don't or seldom give. Not very genuine as a friend. Being a friend is all about giving too, not just taking. Wake up Scrooge!

THE MOTHER GOOSE
The wonderful friend with a heart of gold who genuine wants the best for their friends. They are the ones to contact you and meet up just to catch up. They are sincere and would always be there. They would buy you a drink or a muffin or cook for you because you are stress, or sad or just too skinny.

THE ANGEL
Another wonderful friend with a heart of gold who will respect you in everything you do and support your nevertheless. He/she doesn't judge you and comes to you when you are in need of a friend even when you have not been in contact for a while. A listening ear with a helping hand whenever you need.
