A lot of friends have been asking us about our Christmas eve menu. To be honest, we have not quite decided yet. Or rather, we are still formulating it. But this is it roughly.
A medley of tapas. Not sure what yet. But we have ham, smoked salmon and other bits. Tapas is never difficult for us. We need tapas to go with our wine. Mr Washy wants to open a bottle of wine which needs a lot of airing and we have agreed that such wine is best enjoyed with finger food. Never as an accompaniment.
A fresh rocket salad with pecorino cheese and pan-fried apple perhaps.
Freshly baked foccacia bread of course.
Onion soup. No cheese. Keeping it healthy.
Wrapped herbed turkey breasts, served with a prune sauce with baked sweet potatoes, sour cream and chives.
We will be adding more dishes in the next couple of days. Not quite sure what is for dessert yet. Shall keep you guys posted.
