We bought Mr Washy a vintage Carhartt Chore coat for his birthday a while back. The reason for the chore coat is that it is supposed to be very durable and warm. That is designed for outdoor chores and hence can withstand even minus zero temperatures. Vintage because of the Union label. They do not make everything in USA anymore and the quality has seriously been compromised. He has been using it for a while and so lets see what he has to say about this very raved Carhartt item and brand. Read about the revamped progress here.
Mr Washy :
- It isn't that warm. It is good for autumn and early winter. It cannot withstand minus zero celsius temperatures.
- I used it for cycling to work and all. It isn't all that windproof. Due to the use of buttons instead of zippers, wind can enter.
- It gets dust very easily. It is black and I hang it on the door, which is white. It always catches the white paint dust from the white door.
- It looks good and smart.
