It was a pretty grim weekend we had. There was no sun, it was cold and gray, but luckily we had the full company of Mr Washy. We went out for food shopping and went to a restaurant on Sunday. Due to the snow, the traffic was outrageous. No one was driving because no one cleared the snow. No one was out. We took the bus instead of driving, in order to save a bit of grief. In the end, the bus took so long to arrive, we walked back home from the restaurant, which really wasn't that far away. We are talking about Amsterdam. What can be possibly that far away?
The walk was exhausting nonetheless.
The weather forecast this week does not look good either. When you hear that London is experiencing a freak winter week, you know it is going to come our way.
Everyday is a minus for us. We stocked up enough food to potentially last us the whole week. But knowing the Washy, he is always having cravings for things we didn't stock up. We were observing the weather this morning. It was grim, the snow has not melted which means that it is walkable. We immediately went out for grocery when we saw the sun. Sun + snow, not good. That means with the potential higher temperatures to come in the week, the pavements would be iced. Equals, fall.
We never thought doing grocery would end up like such a science. Rather exhausting if you ask us.
