There is an expiry date on most things. The only thing in the kitchen that doesn't expire is honey! We have been throwing away a lot of things in the fridge our hoarder mother has stocked up. It is atrocious. She even thinks it is funny! LOL. We have a bag if quality spices which we hope to utilize before the expiry date. Yes, you might think that spices do not expire but they are sold with an expiry date. They do not expire per se but they must just not smell and taste that strong.
Expired spices will not make you sick but it only means that you bought too much for your own good. You can still use them, you just have to use a lot more for your food to taste like anything.
