Our mac failed us a while back and it was not worth repairing. We had to dismantle it and retrieve the hard disk which is still good for use, and most all of, to retrieve our data. Opening a mac is really not easy. We spent too much time opening it. But thank god for those Youtube instructional videos. What can you not find on Youtube these days? Mr Washy even tried to look for videos on how to crack one's back!
Our trusty technician told us never to throw your damaged electronic, i.e., the mac away. There are always loads of things to recycle. Say, you can remove the hard disk and put it in a casing and use it as a backup. You can also reuse your ram and just keep the parts as people are always looking for spares.
We bought this casing for a good price to store our hard disk. Made in China, does not look bad, serves the purpose. No need for a flashy mac branded accessory, we are broke.
