LIFE IS A JOURNEY, ARE YOU READY?

WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH YOUR FAVORITE SUNSCREEN? : HOW HARMFUL CAN IT BE?

We love Banana Boat Quick Dry Sport sunscreen. It is easy to use with a spray and not greasy. It dries up very quickly and does not leave a horrible greasy feeling on your body. It is also waterproof. This is especially good for the beach. At least you would not be covered in sand.

OK, anyway, something happened with this product when we were traveling and we were not impressed. We did not check-in our baggage. We opted for carry-on baggage instead. Due to the air travel restrictions, we decided to transfer a bit of this sunscreen into a smaller spray bottle as we are not allowed to bring anything more than 100ml onboard.  This rule also applies to half used up products, i.e., 50ml left in a 150ml bottle. It is strange, but it seems that is the way it is. Or did it only happen to us?

OK, so this was what we did. We transfer some of the sunscreen into one of these travel size bottles. Little did we know, the travel size bottle started to 'melt' in a way. The sunscreen appears to be eating or dissolving the plastic away. That taught us never to transfer products with alcohol in it.

This is strange to us and horrible to know. This is the sunscreen we love, or rather loved for now. It is something we put on our skins to prevent sun burn and to protect ourselves from the harmful UV rays. We can understand that the original product bottle has a tough and more compound plastic to hold the sunscreen, but for it to actually start dissolving the travel bottle is worrying. Do we really want to put such a harsh product on our bodies? Not sure. Alright, the answer is NO.
