MAKING YOUR OWN CHILLI OIL

This is a recipe or rather, instructions, is from one of our favorite cookbooks, Best Ever 3 and 4 Ingredients Cookbook.

CHILLI OIL
Add several dried chillies to a bottle of olive oil and leave to infuse for about 2 weeks before using. If the flavour is not sufficiently pronounced, leave for another week. The chillies can be left in the bottle and give a very decorative effect.

We got these really potent Asian chillies.

The pack asks for us to wash the chillies before use.

We washed up a used bottle of rice vingar and added some extra virgin oil to the dried chillies.

We shall see in 2 weeks if this works.
