OUR CHOICE OF MARINADES DEPENDS ON OUR HARVEST

We are trying to gauge how much we need to spend in a week for grocery. We have not been too successful so far? We know we have not been spending too much but to actually keep receipts and start calculating is beyond us.

We have our herbs on the balcony and the living room and we thought the meals for the week would largely depend on what is ready for harvest and pruning. What is a better way to make use of our hard work in gardening? We used to have pots of herbs which withered without us making absolute good use of them. This is not going to happen this time.

This is our wonderful pork marinated with thyme, salt, ground black pepper and some cooking wine. This will stay in the fridge for the next couple of days to be infused with the fragrance of thyme. Using fresh herbs for marinating meat beats using store-bought gravies. The flavors in the herbs also calls for less salt.
