20th OCT : IT RAINED HAIL IN AMSTERDAM

We put our sheets out on the balcony to dry this morning.Within 5 minutes, we heard that painful noise of beads beating the window panes. HAIL! Hail in October. In October? Crazy weather.

This is not rain. It is hail. Gosh! It lasted a few minutes, then it turned to sleet and then a drizzle. Thank god we are at home and not cycling.

Pebbles? Not. It is hail. You can see one of our reflections in the window, in our Jedi coat.

Scotland is already having hail storms in October. We are not too surprised about this mini encounter of hail. But what does this mean? Global warming? A freak winter again? We better get on with crocheting that blanket.
