CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER : SMOKED SALMON BLINIS

We got some smoked salmon for Christmas eve. We had roasted peppers and dips last Christmas eve but we would like to spend more time on the mains this year. Blinis sound like they are easy enough to make, since we are now mavericks of pancakes. We shall be serving them with sour cream or creme fraiche, and topping them with capers. We might even spike some of them with a dash of wasabi (because we do not intend to buy horseradish especially for this). We have read that a dash of horseradish lifts this appetizer. We shall see.
