It was cold last night and we were dying for some warmth on our gouty fingers. We were not in pain, but some warmth in winter always makes one feel comforted. We made a hot compress in a matter of seconds.
HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED :
HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED :
- A sock. Clean of course. We used an airline sock.
- Rice, uncooked grains.
- A funnel, optional.
- Microwave.
- Make sure your sock is clean and dry.
- Fill the sock with as much rice as you want. The rice grains should be directly from the packet. You do not need to wash it. Just use dry, hard grains.
- Tie the sock in a knot.
- Microwave the tied up sock with the rice grains in the microwave for about a minute. (We put it in a bowl before we microwaved it. It will be easier to take it out since it is going to be hot.)
- Tada. It is hot but enjoy. It will smell of rice grains in the home. Surely you can use the rice again and again, and even for cooking next time. Just rinse it!
