LIFE IS A JOURNEY, ARE YOU READY?

SPREAD A NEW WORD : REPLATE

A bunch of San Francisco creatives are drawing attention to food waste. They launched a web campaign to urge people to leave their unwanted doggie bags atop trash cans for hungry folks (essentially, the homeless) to eat.

Since this is a web campaign, we need to forward this message to all many people as we can. This is an attitude which we should adopt; not to be self-centered, not waste food... Hopefully one day there will be sponsored stickers of the replate logo around town, so that these doggie bags can be placed strategically, without looking like trash. Visit Replate for more information.

My only question is what about places that get really hot? I think this is a great idea but we need to come up with suggestions to make this a better idea.

I think this is a great idea. Even if nobody does eat it before it goes bad, it is better than throwing it straight in the trash. There's a good chance that it will feed someone who needs it.

No need to worry about spoilage in San Fran. Any food left for the homeless will be gobbled up in seconds.

I think when you are hungry, you will look everywhere and when there is a replate sign like this, homeless will know that at least it isnt rotten food. I do not think people will be out to poison harmless people. I think Replate started in San Fran. It is a good idea. How many of us actually over-eat? I do... sometimes.
