FIDGETY FINGERS' PETEH BEEF STEW

This is a family recipe which uses peteh beans to stew beef. It took us forever! We had to dice the beef, onions and potatoes, and on top of that, slice the chili which made us suffer a couple of hours of chili fingers.

There is a step in this recipe which made us a bit puzzled. We had to boil the beef before adding it to the stew. Hmmm... why is that? We always fry if not sear the beef with the other ingredients when we make a stew. We shall post our research soon.
