THE BEST APPLE IN THE SHOP FOR US : THE KANZI

One day, we bought different brands of apples. There were so many to choose from and they were all the same price at that time. We wanted to make an apple cake so we picked a few different brands. There is nothing like cutting up the apples and tasting them side by side. This is the real taste test isn't it. The tastiest of them all is the Kanzi.

And we only buy Kanzi apples now. Next to the other apples, Kanzi apples taste appley. We know that is a strange description but some of the apples do not have much flavor. They are crunchy and juicy but no flavor in the flesh. They are sweet but there is no depth in the taste.

This is what we found out about Kanzi Apples:

Kanzi is a fresh red apple with a unique sweet-sour flavor, grown in specially selected orchards throughout Europe. They are sold in shops from October onwards. Kanzi's uniqueness comes partly from its unusual background, which is a blend of juicy Gala and tangy Braeburn. This, and the loving care with which kanzi is grown from blossom to harvest, has produced a truly special apple.
