It is already 9.30pm and Mr Washy is still not back from his shift. We are holding on to have dinner together. We are a bit of hungry hippos now.

Do you know that there are certain patterns when it comes to eating?
  • your stomach gets used to usual feedings and when it misses one it lets you dont necessarily need food..but if you're on a diet, I would throw something in the stomach..something very little - like a handful of nuts or something.
  • Set times. If you usually have dinner at 6.30pm, your body will tell you that you are hungry at 6.30pm. It is basically that. We train our bodies to be machine sometimes.
  • People eat according to learned behaviours regarding ettiquette, meal and snack patterns, acceptable foods, food combinations and portion sizes. 
  • All humans eat to survive. They also eat to express appreciation, for a sense of belonging, as part of family customs, and for self-realization. For example, someone who is not hungry may eat a piece of cake that has been baked in his or her honor. 
We totally do not believe in skipping meals and dieting. We believe in eating leaner stuff, but never any sort of crazy diets.
