Somehow, Christmas Eve means more to us then Christmas itself. Eve is the countdown isn't it? OK, we really do not do Christmas at all but countdowns are always something for us. The day itself always seem like a good idea to sleep in, probably even curing a hangover.
We are cooking for 2 this year. We do not do turkey, because it is obviously too big. What would you suggest? We are obviously planning for a degustation no doubt. Any leftovers should be good too for dinner the next day. Example, bones for a soup stock?
We have just decided on our Christmas eve's appetizer. Blinis!!! Read about it here and how to make it as well. There is nothing more satisfying than to flip those little pancakes. We know pancakes are easy but they make us feel so professional just standing there, flipping them.
