LIFE IS A JOURNEY, ARE YOU READY?

THE REVAMP OF A SWEET GRANNY POUCH

We were given a project by Fidgety Fingers to revamp one of their granny pouches. The pouch we received was a sweet little number. There were some stains that couldn't be removed from the pvc like ink marks and what not, but we gave it a try to camouflage them nonetheless.

For Fidgety Fingers, this is an exciting blank canvas. Due to the material being pvc, there are not many things we could do. We thought of embroidery, that was just going to break the material. We thought of diamantes but were not sure how well it would stick, probably not at all. We thought of dyeing it but it is pvc! It wasn't going to absorb the colour. So, we stuck to... nail polish.

We took a makeup pencil and started to map out what we wanted to paint. We used that due to the oil based pencil which can be wiped off easily.

It was easy to wipe or rub off for corrections too.

We didn't want a smooth painting effect. The blotchiness of it made it somewhat grungier.

We liked the simplistic skull but that what was not it. Seemed a bit too plain.

We added other bits of colours and made it a bit Frida Kahlo.

Tada!

There was an ink mark on the back of the pouch which we were going to camouflage too.

Love love love it! It is like a little sign-off on the back of it.

Can we say that we love the drippity drip effect again?

Off to Fidgety Fingers now.
