LIFE IS A JOURNEY, ARE YOU READY?

BABY OIL (OR ANY OTHER OILS) IS THE BEST THING TO REMOVE STICKY LABELS FROM SHOES

Our new sandals come with a sticky label we had to remove. We have always been using lighter fluid. Our lighter fluid is unfortunately finished. Yes, what is with those people who leave empty bottles in cabinets?

Our nail polish remover didn't work. It kind of made a nasty mess. The stickiness dissolved and spreaded itself on the sole of the sandals, making it felt grimey. We could totally imagine the dirt that is going to be stuck on that at the end of a day. This is usually what lighter fluid does to sticky tags too. As far as we can remember, we have not tried to remove a sticky label from a shoe for the longest time.

Out of desperation, we looked around the room and the solution presented itself, sitting there, with the lights glistening, as if it was the hero waiting to be discover.

Yes, it is the trusty baby oil. A few rubs, the stickiness came off as if by magic onto the kitchen towel. Leaving just a bit of oiliness on the sole and no harm done to the sandals. The nail polish remover was kind of eating or rubbing away a little of the colored leather. Any more with the nail polish remover, we swear one side of the sandal would feel matt.
