PENANG 2012 AND WHERE WE WALKED ON : THOSE BEAUTIFUL PERANAKAN TILES

Once we left our bags at the Ryokan, we embarked on a little walk around the UNESCO heritage site. Everything is quiet and quaint. Not a lot of places are open due to the Chinese New Year celebrations. Penang is colorful in its rich Peranakan (Straits Chinese) heritage which is prominent in their architecture and ornate finishings.

We love the colorful tiles. Looking at where your feet is walking on is already quite a feast for the sight.
