OUR BLOG AND US : WHAT DOES THIS BLOG MEAN TO US...

We have never really jumped onto the social media wagon. We do not entirely understand the idea of 'sharing' in this way. We have always thought that it is right to share, in a selfless way. To share food, to share experiences and wealth, to be kind to other. However, the idea of sharing a glimpse of our lives to acquaintance or even strangers, baffle us.

For those who know us and know of this blog, ok good. This blog is not a diary per se but it does open a little peephole into our lives. This is our incidental diary. We share ideas in the stages of our lives and also as and where we go.

WHO FOLLOWS WHAT?
We get x number of hits per day, not all that many followers. To be honest, who follows anything really? We follow some blogs but we never subscribe as a follower. So, do we have followers who are not subscribed? We don't really know. Actually does it matter at all? We guess that it is nice to see the number of our followers or hit going up but we never take it to heart whether the number we have 100 or 1000 followers. We still continue to blog what we like to and continue to share our ideas.

SO WHAT IS THIS BLOG?
We started this blog because we wanted to document our hobbies and interests. Life is so fleeting and time so unmeasurable, it seems more substantial to put something down to remind us of our endeavours. And perhaps to also show our loved one who we are and also our journey.

This is called Fidgety Fingers because this started out as a blog documenting our crafts. We fidget a lot. We cannot stay still. We always need to be making something when we watch a video. We have since reduce those craft making sessions due to work and also injuries to our fingers since some 2 years ago. That is 2 fingers down from the 10. We still feel for the name a lot. We still indulge in projects like cooking and making lunchboxes, learning about new tips and experiencing new things aesthetic or culinary.

WHY IS THIS BLOG FACELESS?
Do we really need to show a face? There are so many blogs out that with selfies and narcissistic posts. They probably get a lot of followers and fans. And these bloggers have turned into mini celebrities overnight. The objective of our blog is to share ideas. We don't think sharing a face or some selfies need to be part of it?

SO WHAT DOES THIS BLOG MEAN TO US?
It means something, something substantial. This is, as we mentioned, our incidental diary. This is a record of what we have learnt. We come back to it every now and then to refresh our memory and learnings. This is an anchor sometimes, we write and we rant in an indirect way. Even if someone out there, a stranger reads it, we feel that we have offloaded. It is that wonder of pressing 'publish', that we have offloaded or shared an invaluable experience or a useful tip.
