This was a quick and easy pocket lunch. We had some dough left from making Chinese pancakes and dumplings, so we decided to make this makeshift-y onion-y calzone-y lunch for Mr Washy. The Washy was working only half day today so there was no lunchbox. He was however running loads of errands today, so it wasn't a sit down lunch for him.
We caramelized some onions with duck fat, salt and a sprinkle of nutmeg. We slow cooked the onions to be translucent and sweet.
We then rolled out the dough and waited for the onion to cool down.
That was the onion calzone in the oven. Beside it, was our apple crumble for tonight.
